Goals

The goal of the replacement program is to bring the entire college up to a base level of hardware, software, security, and functionality.

The program will provide a solid base for all the future security and risk initiatives currently in their planning stages.

Strategy

1. Over time, the framework will support a 4-year rule on supported systems within the college.
    
2. ASCTech will use the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) asset inventory to give departments a multi-year list of computers that will be replaced based on age of system and risk.
    
3. Funds go to ASCTech, which will work with each department to identify what computers will be replaced based on college standards.
