What’s your instructional problem? Let ASCTech solve it by developing a custom application

If you are an instructor or administrator in the OSU College of Arts and Sciences (ASC), join ASCTech on Wednesday, November 13, at noon in room 291 of Mendenhall Laboratory for pizza and soft drinks and discussion of your ideas for small online application projects that might be supported by ASCTech programmers. This meeting will help guide applications for the upcoming ASCTech Programming Grants, which will provide programmer time up to a certain limit to develop instructional applications.

Sample application projects

  • Problem: Difficulty assessing student projects?
  • Solution: An app that aids in the assessment process

  • Problem: Efficiently scheduling student conferences
  • Solution: An app that allows you to schedule students for online or face to face meetings

  • Problem: Understanding student progress in classes
  • Solution: An app for data visualization

  • Problem: Too many students are enrolling in first-year courses without the background for success.
  • Solution: An app that assimilates existing data and a course pre-test and predicts student success in a course

RSVP here. Please note: applications are limited to ASC instructors and administrators.
