Dear colleagues,
 
I am very pleased to share that Mike Kaylor has been named Senior Director for Arts and Sciences Technology Services. Mike has now been in this role for a few weeks, and he has been a leader for the college as we’ve transitioned our teaching, learning and work online.
 
Mike and Brian Keller both served as Interim Senior Directors of ASCTech since the summer, and I have worked with them closely over these past months. I am grateful and so appreciative of Brian’s co-leadership during this interim period. His past and future contributions are and will continue to be invaluable, most especially through his oversight of ASCTech support services.
 
Mike joined Ohio State in 2001 and has served in numerous leadership positions since that time. Most recently, Mike has been ASCTech’s Director of Academic Technology and has worked diligently to improve educational experiences for our students and faculty. Those who have worked with Mike will know the energy and positivity he brings to his daily work – which has been especially welcome over the past few weeks.
 
I know you will all join me not only in congratulating Mike, but also in thanking our ASCTech colleagues for their stellar service during these challenging times. I have received so many positive comments about this team, and the entire college is grateful for their expertise and dedication.
 
We are lucky to have such great staff on this team and throughout the College of Arts and Sciences, and I am grateful.
