Virtual Reality now a reality at ASCTech

Imagine how much better your students might understand an ancient city they coud walk through or a dance move they could study in 360 degrees. Virtual reality (VR), popular for years in movies like The Matrix and Existenz, is coming to a classroom near you. Forbes' recent article describes ways VR is being used in classrooms

The lowering of cost on VR headsets has helped make this possible: Samsung recently released a $200 headset, and you can even use your smartphone as a VR, starting at just $25 for a not-at-all-geeky cardboard headset.

ASCTech recently acquired a virtual reality headset for academic purposes (see image), so if you're interested in experiential learning environments, contact ASCTech to get a consultation on its ASCTech Oculus Rift or other forms of virtual reality for educational uses.
