Overview
The top priority for the Emerging Technology Studio (ETS) is facilitating innovation and exploration of emerging technologies for the students and faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences. Our approach to curricular embedment emphasizes transdisciplinary collaboration, blending arts and technology, and providing educational resources to students.
One of the ways ETS makes emerging technologies accessible to students is through facilitating interactive workshops tailored to the interests and needs of specific student groups. These workshops focus on learning ways to use equipment like 360° cameras and VR tools, encompassing both the technical skills and potential applications.
Currently we offer workshops on how to operate 360° cameras, 3D scanners, as well as Extended Reality (XR) overviews of XR use-cases and learning how to work with headsets. We also offer workshops for learning projection mapping in Isadora software.
If you are interested in requesting a workshop that covers any of these tools, or have additional workshop ideas based on your needs, contact ets@osu.edu.
